I am an award-winning documentary producer, director and writer who started off as a print journalist.
I’m best known for making intimate documentaries that are emotional, moving and humorous. With an intuitive sense for what makes people tick, I’m passionate about bringing their stories to the screen.
In 2020 I won a BAFTA Scotland for Greg Davies: Looking for Kes on BBC 4. Described as ‘This Excellent documentary’ in the Telegraph and ‘a rare thing’ in the Sunday Times.
I’ve travelled across Russia with comedian Frankie Boyle for Frankie Goes to Russia, a series acclaimed as ‘the funniest thing on television’ in the Express and ‘Excellent’ in the Guardian; and hobnobbed with the eccentric Fulford family in BBC 3’s hit series and Grierson finalist, Life is Toff. All ‘F***ing good fun’ according to the Guardian.
My 2-hour feature doc for C4, Psychopath Night, is ‘Entertainingly lurid’ in the Independent and ‘A gripping subject and not without a funny side’ in the Radio Times
And my most recent project is with Hollywood actress Eva Longoria, following the Desperate Housewives star as she explores Mexico City and her Mexican heritage, through the Capital’s cuisine
